Drive through the Great Rift Valley and Masai steppe. Dramatic views as you ascend to the crater rim at 2,300m. Sundowner drinks overlooking the caldera.
Descend into the crater at first light. The Ngorongoro Crater holds the densest concentration of wildlife in Africa — black rhino, enormous lion prides, massive elephant bulls, and the pink shimmer of flamingos on Lake Magadi. A full day here feels like a lifetime.
